HOST
A host or hostess at IHOP is the face of our brand. You are the first and last impression our guests have of our restaurant, so your warm and inviting personality will shine here!
Hosts greet and seat guests. At the conclusion of a meal, Hosts check guests out on the cash register. When on the cash register, a Host must properly ring up the customer orders, process payments, and issues change and receipts.
SERVER
A Server guides our guests through their dining experience. Bring your energy and your A-game to this position and you'll be a big hit!
A Server's primary responsibilities include: ensuring customers are greeted quickly upon arrival and seated, taking orders and ensuring that special requests are honored whenever possible, and getting food and beverages out to customers in a timely fashion.
DISHWASHER
Dishwashers are the backbone of every restaurant. The success of the whole team depends on you, and we recognize your excellent service. Our franchise owner started out as a dishwasher, so you really can start here and go anywhere!
Dishwashers operate dishwashing machines or wash items by hand. NGE dishwashers must maintain an orderly work environment by cleaning the kitchen and guest seating areas. Basic cleaning duties include taking out trash and clearing tables. Additional job duties may include unloading trucks and stocking supplies.
COOK
What is a Fuzzy's or an IHOP without our legendary food? Our cooks make it all happen. Your consistency keeps our fans coming back for more!
Cooks are responsible for the preparation and cooking of food products accurately and with minimal waste. Duties of this position include learning and applying all restaurant-specialized galley terminology, plating, menu items and procedures according to company standards.
Cooks are expected to set up equipment, verify stock, and maintain a clean and sanitary work area while maintaining company sanitation standards. Cooks are responsible for ensuring food safety standards are maintained at all times.
SHIFT LEADER
As a Shift Leader you're an extension of the management team. Your people skills and attention to detail tie the whole team together!
Shift Leaders will manage the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts, which includes daily decision making, consistent staff support, positive and consistent guest interaction, proper scheduling and planning while upholding standards, consistent excellent product quality, and maintaining high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
MANAGEMENT
Our managers are ambassadors of the NGE, Fuzzy's, and IHOP brands. You set the the tone for employees and guests, providing a lively environment while upholding our standards. Your leadership skills have the power to turn a restaurant into a family!
The manager directly supervises all employees. Primary responsibilities include managing operations in the front and back of the house with a high concentration on profitability and sales growth, while constantly maintaining your franchise's standards of quality and service.
